Keeping a Girl in School
Through menstrual health education and inclusion, we empower girls, engage boys, and help end period poverty. Our slogan, #usikueMSHY (“Do not be shy”), reflects our belief that menstruation should never be hidden in shame — it should be embraced with dignity and pride.

Introduction
Keeping a Girl in School (KGS) is a community-led organization based in Kenya. Our work is centered on educating communities about Menstrual Health Management (MHM) and ensuring access to menstrual products, hygiene essentials, and basic learning materials.
Established in 2019, KGS has, over the past six years, directly impacted the lives of 88,679 individuals and distributed more than 506,000 menstrual products across Kenya, India, and Morocco.
Our slogan, #usikueMSHY—Swahili for "Do not be shy"— promotes open, honest, and stigma-free conversations around menstruation.
