About Us

Keeping a Girl in School to KCS Global

Our Background

Keeping a Girl in School (KGS) is a community-led organization founded in 2019 in Kenya, dedicated to empowering communities through education on Menstrual Health Management (MHM).

The organization ensures access to menstrual products, hygiene essentials, and basic learning materials while advocating for improved access to education. Its programs are inclusive, engaging both girls and boys to promote awareness and break stigma.

The Global Initiative

KGS is expanding into Keeping a Child in School (KCS) Global, reflecting a broader and more inclusive approach that supports both boys and girls.

KCS Global addresses barriers such as:

  • Limited access to menstrual products
  • Inadequate MHM education
  • Poor WASH facilities
  • Food insecurity
  • Mentorship for boys
KCS Global initiative in the community

Mission

To empower children and communities globally by removing barriers to education through access to essential resources such as menstrual health support, WASH services, nutrition, and school fees, while providing inclusive programs in mentorship, mental health, sports, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy for both boys and girls.
