Programs that Remove Barriers to Education

Let's Talk Periods #usikueMSHY

Let's Talk Periods (#usikueMSHY) is KCS Global's flagship menstrual health program dedicated to ensuring menstruation is never a barrier to education. Through education, awareness, advocacy, and access to menstrual products, we create safe spaces where girls and boys can challenge stigma, promote dignity, and build supportive communities that embrace open conversations about menstruation.

WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene)

Education cannot flourish without safe water, clean sanitation facilities, and proper hygiene practices. Through our WASH program, we work with schools and communities to improve sanitation infrastructure while promoting healthy hygiene behaviours that reduce absenteeism and improve children's wellbeing.

BAFANA

Building African Futures and Nurturing Aspiring Men

BAFANA is designed to intentionally engage boys as positive leaders, allies, and changemakers. The programme creates safe spaces where boys learn about healthy masculinity, emotional wellbeing, leadership, and respect while developing the confidence and skills needed to become responsible members of their communities.

The LEO Club

Leadership Experience Opportunity

The LEO Club Program nurtures the next generation of compassionate leaders by promoting volunteerism, leadership, and community service. Working in partnership with Lions Clubs International, the programme empowers young people to identify community needs, lead service projects, and create lasting impact while developing valuable leadership and teamwork skills.

Many of KCS Global's programmes are designed, led, and implemented by Leos, demonstrating the power of youth-led service in transforming communities.

Project 360

Project 360 is KCS Global's flagship outreach model for delivering all of its interventions to rural and underserved communities. Through an intensive 6- or 7-day school and community-based programme, Project 360 provides holistic support by integrating health, education, mentorship, leadership, and life skills, ensuring that children have the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities they need to stay in school and thrive.

As KCS Global's integrated implementation model, Project 360 brings together Menstrual Health, Mental Health, Mentorship, Feeding Program, Entrepreneurship and Career sessions, boys' mentorship, and the LEO Club, delivering these programmes as one comprehensive outreach tailored to the unique needs of each community.

This program has been implemented in West Pokot, Korokocho, Garashi, Gicheru, and now Homa Bay County.
